For whilst the modern world insists upon productivity, composure, and an alarming number of obligations before breakfast…

We have determined such behavior to be exceedingly dull.

And thus, for one enchanted weekend, a select gathering of women shall retreat from the demands of everyday life into a world of candlelight, whispered gossip, floral artistry, scandalous laughter, elegant idleness, and sandwiches so absurdly small they can scarcely be considered a meal.

Welcome, dear lady, to The Regency Bloom Retreat.

A restorative country escape devoted entirely to beauty, play, leisure, feminine delight, and the radical act of resting without needing to earn it first.

A Most Splendid Escape Awaits

Imagine—

A candlelit estate.
Soft music drifting through the gardens.
Pearls and ribbons awaiting your arrival.
Women gathered, not for performance, but pleasure.

You shall choose to spend your days sipping tea, arranging florals, learning French macarons, painting in the garden, composing devastatingly elegant insult letters, and dancing beneath candlelight in your finest attire.

And perhaps most importantly…

You shall rest.

The sort of rest one cannot obtain whilst simultaneously answering correspondence and pretending not to resent everyone.

Day One

A Graceful Arrival Into Society

Upon your arrival Thursday evening, you shall be welcomed with floral cocktails, and an adornment station overflowing with ribbons, lace gloves, and pearls. 

Guests shall declare their Regency names, reveal their notable talents, and confess delightfully ridiculous fictional flaws.

One lady may admit:

“Though accomplished in conversation, I remain incapable of keeping herbs alive.”

Another:

“My family fears my opinions have rendered me unmarriageable.”

Reputations may tremble.
Friendships shall flourish.

Once adorned and properly introduced, we shall take to the promenade and explore the property at a leisurely pace. We will talk about the weekend’s events, and each lady shall plot the events and activities she finds most intriguing. 

Participation in everything is welcome.

Participation in absolutely nothing is equally celebrated.

Day Two

The Art of Becoming Delightfully Unserious

Friday’s engagements are devoted entirely to pleasure, artistry, and becoming just dramatic enough to concern your relatives.

The day unfolds with pastries and tea, French macaron instruction, croquet upon the lawn, watercolor painting, floral arranging, and a family-style supper.

The evening salon, The Art of the Victorian Insult, invites guests to compose exquisitely mannered burn letters worthy of society legend.

One might hear:

“Dear sir, your confidence remains inspiring given the circumstances.”

Or:

“I would challenge your wit, but I perceive you arrived unarmed.”

Day Three

The Grand Soirée

Saturday opens with learning to create delicate icing flowers. We shall play charades and guess-the-gossip games, enjoy formal tea service, and learn the art of tablescaping over the aforementioned ridiculously small sandwiches society inexplicably treasures.

Then comes the pinnacle of the weekend:

The Saturday Evening Soirée

A formal candlelit dinner in our best finery.

Exquisite floral decor.

Chandeliers and candlelight.

A feast for the ages.

Portraits and photographs.

Music and dancing late into the evening.

A room full of women no longer attempting to be efficient.

Only radiant.

Day Four

Gentle Partings & Fond Farewells

Sunday morning arrives softly with breakfast, final gossip columns, lingering conversation, and gentle goodbyes before departure at noon.

You shall return home rested, delighted, and perhaps slightly more dramatic than when you arrived.

Society shall simply have to endure it.

Dress attire is warmly encouraged throughout the weekend, though never required.
